Graduation Requirements

The switch to a 7-period day leaves the current high school classes in various degrees of completion and likewise with various requirement for graduation. The chart below outlines the graduation requirements for the current high school classes. The requirements listed for the Class of 2020 are the requirements for all classes after 2020.

Class of 2017:

10th     =     6.5

11th     =     13

12th     =     19.5

Graduation     =     25

Class of 2018:

10th     =     6.5

11th     =     13

12th     =     18.5    

Graduation     =     24

Class of 2019:

10th     =     6.5

11th     =     12

12th     =     18.5

Graduation     =     24

Class of 2020:

10th     =     5.5

11th     =     12

12th     =     18.5

·         Freshmen will be recommended by their middle school teachers for a math course and an English course.  Placement will be based on teacher input as well as parent/student input, semester grades, and achievement test scores. 

·         All Heartland Technical Academy students must be enrolled in 3 one-credit academic courses and physical education.  If P.E. cannot be scheduled in the student’s course of study, the student must obtain a P.E. waiver from the principal. Richland Transfer Academy students must fulfill all graduation requirements including P.E.
