Dear Cerro Gordo Families,
The school year is off to a great start! Students and staff are settling into their routines and our extra-curricular activities are in full swing. Please see below for upcoming events and information:
- Friday 9/1:
- 12:00 PM Dismissal for School Improvement
- 5:00-7:00 PM Bronco Palooza: Come to the CGB vs. Tri-County Football game early to enjoy inflatables ($5 wristband), food, and fun!
- Monday 9/4:
- Labor Day: No School
- Friday 9/15:
- Mid-Terms Reports (upper elementary & Jr/Sr High)
- 1:00 PM Bement Homecoming Parade: All Jr/Sr High School students will ride the bus to the parade in Bement.
- Saturday 9/16:
- 8:00-10:30 PM Bement Homecoming Dance: CG High School students can sign up to attend.
- Thursday 9/21:
- 7:00 PM Homecoming Bonfire Pep Rally
- Friday 9/22:
- 1:00 PM Cerro Gordo Homecoming Parade
- 12:30 PM High School students will dismiss to prepare for the parade
- Elementary and Jr. High students will attend the parade with their classmates. Details will be communicated at the school level.

- 1:00 PM Cerro Gordo Homecoming Parade
- Saturday 9/23:
- 7:00-10:00 PM CG Homecoming Dance
- Thursday 9/28:
- 4:00-7:30 PM Parent Teacher Conferences
Please turn in State of Illinois school eye exams, school physicals, and immunizations to the office by October 15th. Students who do not have these forms turned in by October 15th will be excluded from school. If you are in need of any assistance locating clinics for these services, please contact the school nurse at mshackelford@cgbroncos.org.
